Active Senior, Wife to a wonderful man who was a Publisher for 35 years, Mother of a 32 year old single son, an inveterate traveler, and a creative writer stepson. I am a world traveler, love to read, cook and entertain. My husband and I live on a boat for four months in the NE during the hot Florida summers. I enjoy knitting, playing Mah Jongg and Scrabble and doing Crossword puzzles.
During the winter months, I am in a whirlwind of cultural activities with three subscriptions to fantastic local theatre groups, one performing the classics, one light musicals and comedies and the other mostly original stage productions with outstanding local actors. I attend four Opera performances a season at our local Kravis Center, Palm Beach's answer to Lincoln Center. And then there is the Ballet, classical and modern. Plus we attend the Florida Sunshine Pops, top notch professionals lending their vocal talent to marvelous evenings of entertainment. All in all, a very busy winter season!
And I really love to take cruises, our favorite was South America, but we loved Alaska, Hawaii, the Panama Canal and the Mediterranean as well as many of our trans Atlantic ones. This Fall, we are cruising from Turkey to Greece and Croatia.
My favorite female vocalist is Stacey Kent, who we were fortunate to see in person in 2008! I love anything from the American Songbook. |
