I am a Victorian Dandy ( At least I try to be) and my interest would have to include music, art, literature, photography, writing, painting, medieval period, Victorian mourning customs and rituals, Memento Mori, Victorian funerary portraits, living by candlelight, collecting antiques, the renaissance, the baroque, the Victorian era, phonographs and phonograph music, Edison wax cylinders, ragtime, the 1890's, 1900's, 1910's, and 1920's. My favorite kinds of music are antique, classical and gothic. I am a fan of Billy Murray(old-time singer) Ada Jones, Dead Can Dance, Gregorian Chant, Arcana, Ataraxia, Chopin, Debussy, Beethoven, Claudio Monteverdi, Arvo Part, Wojciech Kilar, Verdi, dark classical and neo-classical, dark ambient, opera and much more.
I love reading as well mainly gothic literature and the poetry of the old romantics like John Keats, Percy Bysshe Shelley and so on. I love Baudelaire and as well as many of the French symbolist. I’m a huge reader of Oscar Wilde, Clark Ashton Smith, George Sterling, Mihai Eminescu, H.P. Lovecraft, and Anne Rice but my favorite writer of all time would have to be Edgar Allan Poe.
I absolutely love the art of the Pre-Raphaelites as well as death art, religious iconography and the photography of F. Holland Day. I wear clothing that would have been fashionable in Victorian England monocle, cravat, stiff detachable collars, pocket watch, walking stick and three piece sack suit.
