I currently live in Phoenix, but I spent 11 months living at Arcosanti.
Arcosanti is a prototype arcology, an extremely compact form of city. When complete, Arcosanti will hold 5,000 people on 25 acres of land. Don't hold your breath, though. Groundbreaking was in 1970 and the project is about 5% complete. Check it out at www.arcosanti.org
I read sf, fantasy and horror, play pen-and-paper roleplaying games once in a while, and I play Everquest 2 and Lord of the Rings Online.
In terms of music, I like a lot of different styles.
Some folx I like: Soul Coughing, Steely Dan, Nina Simone, Dead Can Dance, Yes, Warren Zevon.
I live with my wife Kerstin, our cats Mick, Tigger, and Pepper, Gizzie the leopard gecko, and two saltwater aquariums. One holds 20 gallons, the other holds 90 gallons. We have five blue-green chromis, a Randall's goby with a pistol shrimp partner, a yellow watchman goby, a pajama cardinal fish, two mushroom corals, a kenya tree coral, two cabbage leather corals, a xenia coral, a Duncanopsammia coral, a Diploastrea heliopora coral, several hermit crabs, three emerald crabs, and assorted snails. |
