I currently live in Phoenix, but I spent 11 months living at Arcosanti.
Arcosanti is a prototype arcology, an extremely compact form of city. When complete, Arcosanti will hold 5,000 people on 25 acres of land. Don't hold your breath, though. Groundbreaking was in 1970 and the project is about 5% complete. Check it out at www.arcosanti.org
I read sf, fantasy and horror, play a pen-and-paper roleplaying game called Pathfinder a couple of times a month, and play two massively multiple online rpgs: Lord of the Rings Online and Eve.
In terms of music, I like a lot of different styles.
Some folx I like: Soul Coughing, Steely Dan, Nina Simone, Dead Can Dance, Yes, Warren Zevon.
I live with my wife Kerstin, our cats Mick, Tigger, Monki, and Jolene, Gizzie the leopard gecko, and two saltwater aquariums. One holds 20 gallons, the other holds 80 gallons (plus a separate refugium in a sump). We have three blue-green chromis, two different blennies, a couple of gobies with their pistol shrimp partners, a pajama cardinal fish, numerous assorted hard and soft corals, a couple of hermit crabs, and assorted snails. |
