Me in Arbor Vitae Wisconsin in 1961. ----------------------------->
I was 5 and that was my first fish. I caught it on a bamboo pole. The only thing I remember from that vacation was that I got a wood tick on my scalp that my grandmother had to remove with the hot end of her cigarette. I thought she was going to burn
me. But she didn't, she just touched the tick and the tick backed out and she squished it between her fingernails because ticks are very hard to squish. She showed me the bloody mess afterwards and I was intersted, thinking that it was my blood that came out of that fat little insect.
