I'm a multifarious interdisciplinary designer and parallel entrepreneur focused on industrial design for the Other 90%. I work with ideas in the areas of Open Source Industrial Design (OD), Frontier/BOP Markets, mass customization, leapfrog technologies, "green" and "sustainable" product design, and disruptive technologies. I'm founder of Designfluence, partner in Design Earth, principal in Viridisplay, board member in Earth Treasury and a Team Member of Sustainovation.
There is a huge gap between the beneficial design projects needing to be done and those who are willing to design them. There is a huge gap between the “designers” who want to develop beneficial products and the few professionals who possess the knowledge, experience, contacts and funding resources to do it. It’s the purpose of my group, Designfluence, to fill those gaps. |
