I'm a broadcast journalist.
My hobbies include filmmaking, screenwriting, and 3D animation. I plan on going to film school in the UK within the next couple years.
My music taste is mainly classical and motion picture scores, but I also listen to certain types of metal...but it has to have strong musical elements (a choir, classically trained vocalist, orchestra, etc.).
I love movies, but I hate movies made with formulas. I always feel disappointed to see people who are satisfied with forumlaic garbage. My favorite films in no particular order are Citizen Kane, Lawrence of Arabia, Edward Scissorhands, Koyaanisqatsi, and Belle et la Bete.
I don't watch television any more. More creativity and production time goes into making a 30-second commercial than an entire TV series, with very few exceptions. If it's worth watching, it's available on DVD, which is better quality than the cable signal can provide anyway.
Speaking of TV shows, I'm partial to The Twilight Zone, The Outer Limits, Night Gallery, and Doctor Who.
