Flork fascinates me.
--------------------
I have dark brown hair now, but I had blonde hair as a kid, til I was about 5. This is one of my fave kid pictures of me (day after my 3rd birthday)... I wrote the handwriting on the top that says "me", in middle school, I think; my mother wrote the date.
A fellow florker wondered what happened to my childhood telephone... :)

I'm a writer, painter, beaded jewelry maker. I crochet, mostly scarfs, though some afghans, and occasionally snowflakes (though they are a pain in the a**).
I write poems (sometimes). I've been working on novel for too many years. I have written several short stories. And I've been published (mostly poetry)!
To support myself, I work in marketing/pr. Otherwise I would truly be a starving artist. I'm proud to say I've sold some of my art, so I can call myself a semi-professional!

“Writing a book is a horrible, exhausting struggle, like a long bout of a painful illness. One would never undertake such a thing if one were not driven by some demon whom one can neither resist or understand.” --- George Orwell
------------------
I'm a bibliophile. If you don't know what that is, you aren't one! fave authors: Jeffrey Koterba - his memoir "Inklings" is the best one I've ever read; Terry Pratchett, Charles de Lint, Dave King (get his book "The Ha-Ha" NOW!), Tad Williams Otherland series, Sheri S. Tepper, Octavia Butler. ... sci fi, fantasy, some literature. I've also just discovered Lois Lowry - wonderful, luminous books. I read A LOT - an average of 40 books a year. too many authors to list, but if you're interested, i'll tell you!
Music? all over the place. Everlast. Griffin House. Hayes Carll. Beth Willis. The Blow. Bree Sharp. Carlos Santana. Deep Blue Something. Eric Johnson. Mark Knopfler. Marc Cohn. Paolo Nutini. Savatage. Will Smith. ------------------
I'm married to a wonderful man. (Reason I'm in Arkansas - it must be love!)

By the way, AR stands for Arkansas. Not Arizona (AZ). And not Alaska (AK). NO ONE seems to know that! :)
