How To Write
An Effective Self-Description
Let your self-description reflect as accurately as possible who you really are. Remember: you want to reach out to the person who is attracted by your special qualities.
A Few Guidelines:
Don't try to say it all in 60 words. Your self-description should be a verbal snapshot that makes the reader want to find out more about you.
Try to convey what it is that makes you uniquely you: what makes you happy, what concerns you, what motivates you.
Be creative, but don't exaggerate. You are writing a self-description, not a commercial
Be as specific as possible about the kind of person you are, but avoid being too limiting in your description of the person you're seeking. Stay open to possibilities yo'uāve never even considerd.
Provide whatever "vital statistics" you think are relevant. |
