Life is like a musical group performance; sometimes we have to play in time with everyone else and follow the score with precision -other times it's important to break away and do our own thing. At this point in the music we must find our own unique voice, sound and style and somehow ensure that it matches and provides a counterpoint to the other parts. But during much of the performance we may be playing a simple but vital accompanying role, providing space for others to take the solo line......(yes I love to talk pretentious bollocks sometimes...)
I also enjoy writing music, improvising, performing and working in a creative environment. I am intermittently obsessed with languages, people, beliefs, patterns, coincidences, beauty and wisdom...
I value open-mindedness, flexibility, creativity, humour and self-expression but over time I have learnt that these traits are best balanced with reliability, persistence, endurance and a sense of responsibility and concern towards others...
The world is a great school of learning but equally it is a wonderful interactive playground allowing us to discover a wealth of experiences, experiments and personal lessons...(au moins, c'est ce que je pense...)
