I've made my living as a piano player since graduating from college in 1994 with an English Literature degree, which has nothing to do with playing the piano, by the way. I am a chronic traveler and have been lucky enough to take off 4 to 6 months a year over the past 14 years to see the world. (no, I'm not independently wealthy, just willing to not spend my cash on shit I don't need...food, clothes, ya know, the non-essentials) I just got back from a 3 week trip around the west coast with my buddy Dave who quit his hi level corporate job, sold everything he owned and bought a van to travel the country in. Grab a few books and get the hell out of your house. Don't spend money on a college degree you will never use and for god's sake make yourself happy because life is way to short to fuck it all away! |
