What I Baked Today
a vienna chocolate pie.
the recipe came from the
1957 pillsbury bake off.
i'm eternally grateful to the
housewife who thought this one up. as it bakes
the pie separates into 3 distinct layers. the bottom is this silky golden custard. the middle is a thin layer of fudgy brownie and the tippy top is this crispy coffee and cinnamon confection. fantaboulous. |
