I'm happily married and the mother of a beautiful son. I have two dogs and three cats. I enjoy reading, playing WoW, sudoku, art and yoga.
I'm a doggy wrangler by trade...meaning, I work for a doggy daycare and my job is to entertain, protect, observe (and interfere with fights), while also providing affection, lap service and a variety of not-so thrilling work (poop scooping, wound tending, etc). We average about 100+ dogs a day and my particular playground (for medium sized dogs) has at least 25+ dogs every day. So that is what I do Monday thru Friday.
I met my husband on a MMORPG...which will explain why I play WoW. He and I are MMO junkies. I have been asked a few times now what MMORPG stands for...it's Massively Multi-Player Online Role Playing Game. http://www.worldofwarcraft.com/ will explain it better than I can.
As far as reading goes...I enjoy most genres (westerns are about the only thing I can't stand). But, I lean most heavily towards Science Fiction. My favorite writers are Sheri S. Tepper, Iain M. Banks, Greg Bear, Dan Simmons, China Miéville, Joan Slonczewski, C.J. Cherryh, David Brin, Robert Silverberg and so on and so forth.
If you like the writers on my list and know of some that I might be unaware of - please let me know! I'm always looking for new Sci-fi writers to indulge in!
