I love travel, fine dining, great music, and meeting new people. My soul's purpose in life is to "take care of this planet & the people who live on it"~God c. Aug. 2005. Every random step I take is to fulfill that mission.

I don't like watching the food network. I live alone at the moment, so it's just me to cook for (what's the point!). That and it's like watching porn...you see all this great stuff and have nothing at the end of it except new ideas and no one to try it out with!

I'm a walking paradox of virtues & vices.

I listen to NPR, watch Suze Orman religiously, and love Best Week Ever, Degrassi, & watching the top 20 countdown on VH1 and catch the Daily Show (and CSPAN doesn't put me to sleep...it's invigorating).

Sometimes I feel like an old jewish man trapped in a grown up teenage girl's body...go figure.

I'm mostly a weekend florker, so please be patient as I do reply to every message.

08/16/07 - Trying not to fall in love.

08/26/07 - Kidlet's been home for a week. Maybe I can start watching the Food Network now as I'm cooking every day & he's eating everything.

08/28/07 - Becoming addicted to online music services.

09/09/07 - Thinking he might be the one...

10/18/07 - He's on probation until St. Patrick's Day (http://lookfornj.blogspot.com)

10/30/07 - My head's still spinning from how my plans to introduce him to my family sooner or later became sooner...and after such a tragic loss!

11/04/07 - Realizing I actually speak in fortune cookie phrases of wisdom which although intended to be helpful can actually be pretty annoying. I hope it's like a grain of sand in an oyster.

12/05/07 - Even though money is a short term motivator, I'm really needing some significant motivation these days to keep coming to work.

12/15/07 - There's nothing like a week long business trip to Orlando which coincides with a visit with your boyfriend (all on the company dime) to make another winter living in IA just a little more bearable.

01/16/08 - When you finally forgive those who've done you wrong you find freedom...and when those individuals sincerely apologize for doing you wrong you get closure. Forgiveness really is a gift you give yourself and you get it when you stop living in the past (which has already passed) and start living in the present.

02/19/2010 - We've been married for over 4 months now, and it's funny how we're made for each other. Made to help each other learn spiritual lessons we hadn't learned when presented with them in past relationships.

06/23/2010 - Whoever said "they married and lived happily ever after" was delusional.

07/06/2011 - Still married, still changing, and each day I am more amazed at how obstacles can become stepping stones when one's focus is on moving forward in growth.
