That's a real moustache, though I've since tamed it down. That photo amuses me.
I have a design degree that I'm currently squandering, some might say. I live at home though I do pay rent. I do many things that other people get paid for, but sadly I do not yet. Right now I work for a local radio station and talk in between NPR shows.
I enjoy lots of comics, most recently Jimmy Corrigan The Smartest Kid on Earth. I also like Daniel Clowes. I've pencilled the first issue of a comic scripted by my long -time friend, Gary. If we perservere, perhaps it will one day be available on a newsstand.
I dig many types of music, pretty much anything that is different from what I might hear from day to day. Some faves: Devo, The Residents, Quintron, Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Cibo Matto, Badger King, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin, Mr. Bungle, Man or Astroman?, Tom Waits, Charming Hostess, Clinic, Ol' Dirty Bastard, Thinking Fellers Union Local 282, Soul Coughing, Brian Dewan, and The Decemberists, just for starters.
Give me recommendations for music, books, food, movies, whatever. Please make them relevant.
I like Boggle (5X5, of course), and I watch a fair amount of movies. Here's some ones I watched recently: Alien, Altered States (wtf?), Beavis and Butthead Do America (funnier than I remembered), Old School (eh), Citizen Ruth (better the second time around), Sleepers (I found parts of it hard to buy, but the cast and film-makers made up for it). I'll update this again eventually.
I also do a little rapping on the side, for shits and giggles.
