As for me personally:
I love to learn about new cultures, perspectives, sounds, feelings, places, foods and friends.
I read voraciously, lately trashy novels, vampire and fairy tales. I love Steinbeck, Patchett, J. Fforde, JKRowling, LKHamilton and many more, changing all the time. I listen to many different kinds of music; classical, classic rock, ska, blues, r&b, zydeco, texas blues (diff animal), some grunge, latin classics, cuban classics, and a little bit of country. Think Celia Cruz, Neville Brothers, Willie, Lyle Lovett, Bonnie Raitt, English Beat, Madness, The Who, Genesis, Jane's Addiction, Grateful Dead, Phillip Glass, Vampire Weekend, Muse, Los Lonely Boys, on and on... I'm always interested in finding more, luckily that's not hard in Austin. I like Pandora.org for finding new music.
I love to travel. I've been to Israel, Hungary, Yugoslavia (many yrs. ago), Spain, England, France, Italy, Fiji, New Zeland, Australia, French Polynesia, Argentina, Mexico, and want to explore more, both in the US and out. I love road trips. I like camping and canoeing.
I have two young children, and a wonderful husband of 12 years. |
