My most cherished items are a city cycling map, piles of unsorted books and cd-s, and an old globe.

My friends and co-workers have often pointed towards my strong drive towards organizing everything. Even chaos.

Misplacing my personal items and frantically looking for them is another of my abilities.

A travel bug bit me when I was six and saw a large clipper ship anchored at a bay near my home town. I ran away from home to take a closer look at it. And I still try to keep up the pace.

I hate to live with those time-space constraints.
Wouldn't it be great to attend to the French Revolution, storm Hitler's bunker in 1945, or navigate the high seas with Sir Francis Drake? Traveling as an ant on a Mobius strip, or flapping butterfly's wing in Brazil causing storm over the Atlantic works too. Or could I listen to that sermon Siddhārtha Gautama gave to his apprentices at the deer park in Benares?

I once walked about 15 miles at night through a forest (with a friend) to return a stray pup to its rightful owner. I definitely am a pet maniac.

The last great book I've read was "Mythologies" by Roland Barthes.

My all time favourites include: "Master i Margarita" - Bulgakov, "Le Petit Prince" - Antoine de St-Exupéry, "Catch22" by Heller, "L'Etranger" of Camus, "Khazar Dictionary" of Milorad Pavich, "On The Road" by Kerouak, "Discworld series" by Pratchett, "The Trial" of Kafka, "Labyrinths" by Borges, "The name of the Rose" by Umberto Eco, Akutagawa's "The Spider's Thread", and "Cien Anos de Soledad" of Marquez - because it never stops raining in Macondo.

On my mp3 player you will find Barbara Morgenstern, Bauhaus, Bjork, Cesaria Evora, Cocteau Twins, Coldplay, Comus, The Cure, David Bowie, Depeche Mode, dEUS, Devendra Banhart, Diamanda Gallas, Dresden Dolls, the Doors, Eels, Elliot Smith, Eurythmics, Fiona Apple, Frank Zappa, Genesis, Gogol Bordello, Goran Bregovic, Iggy Pop, INXS, Jeff Buckley, Jimi Hendrix, Joy Division, King Krimson, The Killers, Led Zeppelin, Lou Reed & The Velvet Underground, Nautilus Pompilius, Nick Cave, Pink Floyd, The Polyphonic Spree, Portishead, Pulp, R.E.M., Radiohead, Shin, Morrissey & The Smiths, Tom Waits, U2, The Verve.

Probably the best movie I've seen this year was "The saddest music in the world" by Guy Maddin.

Directors I have enjoyed the most - Peter Greenaway, Ingmar Bergman, Fassbinder, David Lynch, David Cronenberg, Krzystof Kieslowski, Tim Burton, Coppola, Tarantino, Almodovar, Tarkovsky, Kar Wai Wong, Bertolucci, Aronofsky, Abuladze, Jean-Luc Godard, Kusturica, Terry Gilliam, Alejandro Inarritu, Jim Jarmusch, Kurosawa, Guy Maddin, Sergei Parajanov, Wim Wenders.

I am also into photography. Some of my humble works can be seen at www.mgeli.com
