I haven't updated my profile in a long time.
4-4-10 Failed a drug test at work stemming from the reckless and reprehensible act of smoking a joint two weeks prior. I mean, what was I thinking? Inhaling a plant once a month? So irresponsible. Why stop at firing me? Maybe castration would be a good add. Banishment. Beheading.
Anyway, I truly don't give a fuck. The job was a one way ticket to rinse and repeat every day every month year after year. My job was death. My job was the inspiration for all the zombie movies we love so much. Dead-eyed men shuffling along in a walking coma and craving brains. Well, I have the time to look for brains now. Mostly the search for my own. I have enough of our national obsession (cash) to last for awhile and I have many books that could use another look.
I found this site looking for recommendations on books and music. Many of you out there, American and not, have givin many good suggestions and for that I'd like to throw out a blanket Thank You.
I need more. Now more than ever before I sit in front of that fucking XBox360 and murder the falling sand.
I love Modern Warfare 2. There's my weakness.
I'm 34 and have the feeling that this is the last time I can fuck up at a job. Time to go back to school and work towards a job that actually makes a fucking difference in this country. I can't die leaving the world just as bad. Of course, maybe my death would be the improvement I strive to make.
Time to list the likes:
Bukowski John Fante HST All the beat writers Kerouac Ginsberg Burroughs Corso The Doors Pantera Hatebreed Muddy Waters Hendrix Seger Bill Hicks Richard Pryor Slayer Sex Pistols Helmet Nirvana Upton Sinclair Howard Hughes Celine Frank Castle (The Punisher) Dostoevsky
There's a partial list that comes to me at this moment in time.
I beg for more.
Throw your television out the window. Kill a greedy CEO. Pretend to be a 12 year old girl on the internet and set a meeting in a dark place with a 48 year old man who uses the screen name CockMaster69 and make sure he leaves with a reminder of his failings.
America is drowning. I love this country. I hate this country. I won't rest until we know what we can be.
I'm just trying to make up for a life wasted and hazy.
Need to add a quote. Figure I'll use the one that's stuck in my head the last month:
"I find the great thing in this world is not so much where we stand, as in what direction we are moving. We must sail sometimes with the wind and sometimes against it, but we must sail, and not drift, nor lie at anchor." - Oliver Wendell Holmes
Goddamn that says alot! |
