I have been married 14 years with no children. I love philosophy, cognitive science and ultrarunning. Favourite bands are Pink Floyd, The Doors, The Stones, Gentle Giant, etc.. Currently, I am experiencing a mid-life crisis and have been running compulsively for some time now. In 2007 I did 5 50k's and I just DNF'd my first 100 miler. I did make it to 85 miles before blowing out my knee however!
This year I did 4 50k's in 6 weeks but I just can't stay healthy and don't know when my next big ultra will be.
2009 Update: With the recession I decided to let the government pay me to go back to school. Still having lots of injury trouble - now my psoas is blown. The good thing is that it forced me to spend a lot more time on my music. That stuff is all here: http://www.reverbnation.com/theopenmind
