I'm full of paradoxes and contradictions. I'm an optimistic existentialist, a humanistic pessimist, a nihilistic romantic, a cynical humanist. I'm a nerd and proud of it. I'm an intellectual, and I love literature and learning. I'm a crazy, radical feminist and a wacky left-wing nutjob. Depending on my mood, I'm either a capitalist (mostly this since I'll be living in India for the next 3 years of my life) or a socialist. I'm a misanthrope, and it takes a lot for me to respect/like people. I seem shy, but I usually just act reserved because I don't like you or I have nothing to say to you. I'm insanely obsessive compulsive. I'm a grammar freak, so if I ask you how you are, please don't tell me that you're good. My list of books tells you a lot about my personality.

Books:
Anything by Kurt Vonnegut, especially Cat's Cradle, God Bless You Dr. Kevorkian, Bluebeard, Slaughterhouse Five, Devil's Dictionary by Ambrose Bierce, A Farewell to Arms by Ernest Hemingway, anything by Emerson, Wordsworth's poems, Blake's poems, Dickinson's poems, Kartography by Kamila Shamsie, Razor's Edge by Somerset Maugham, Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance by Robert Pirsig, Midnight's Children by Salman Rushdie, Geneology of Morals by Friedrich Nietzsche, Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen, Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen, Emma by Jane Austen, The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri, Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Favorite Quote (for now): "A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. — 'Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' — Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood." Ralph Waldo Emerson, "Self-Reliance"
