Things that make me smile: never growing up... travelling to wondrous places, people in all their glorious guises- I enjoy meeting new folk, I enjoy people watching and inventing lives for strangers, it can cheer up a dull night down the pub no end, CULTURE, history- and this is where I'm getting old, but the past and how it's formed the present fascinates me greatly, summertime, bright, bright colours, gigs, exploration, lists, organising my life in a list of things to do since my memory is really shit, I forget almost instantaneously things unless I write it down, computers (especially the internet...), being happy and laughing, clowning around and entertaining people, being the centre of attention and making people smile, my friends are the best thing in my life.
Things that make me frown: people who headbutt others without provocation, bad smells, winy miserable folk, the cold, peeps with no sense of fun, take the piss out of yourself otherwise I'll do it for you... making everything a drama when it's clearly quite simple.
I am a culture whore and really love photography, music, books and films. And what follows is lists of what's on my agenda this week...

Films:
[it's easier to say what kind of films I like...]
I have a penchant for horror and gore, and anything with a lot of testosterone in. Evil Dead, Hostel, Nightmare on Elm Street, Hellraiser... Love it! Oh, and boyish action, early Schwarzenegger, Stallone, Will Smith, Bruce Willis, Vin Diesel for about 3 films before he went pap. I am a huge fan of humour, although very selective over what I deem funny, I'm a fussy fucker when it comes to comedy. I cherish my entertainment!
I also love films that are visually stunning, House of the Flying Daggers and Pan's Labyrinth being perfect examples. I love films with complex plots, shocking twists, and intelligent narrative, American Beauty, Usual Suspects, No Country For Old Men (Coen Brothers in general, Big Lebowski- good film) and Donnie Darko for starters, M Night Shamalahahalyayanan is far too predictable these days... I love trashy 80's movies, if only for the big perms and rocking soundtracks. I think Dirty Dancing sucks, I am the only girl in the world to think this. I love the first Star Wars trilogy (Empire Strikes back, what a great film), but despise the recent trilogy. I love films that evoke memories, or make you feel good about life, It's A Wonderful Life is one of my favourite films, and also as girly as I get... I forgot to add one of my all time favourite films- Convoy! Watch it, it's great fun! Love the adrenalin it's fueled on!
