Grey Pants, Pink Slippers: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grey, so slick and shiny sleek, Sophisticated and subdued, Fits in to any occasion, A rainy day, a melancholy mood.
Comfortable grey, quietly sat, As not to draw attention. When asked, he muttered out his words in slur, Too noble to make mention,
That in all his grey days he desired, The one thing he had not known, A hue to brighten his grey light, Throughout the universe he would roam.
His passage through the valley low, He found his perfect match, Within a grey puddle he did find, A reflected swirl; A dazzling pink patch.
Handless Maiden: ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Grasping for the holy grail, these hands, Were slashed, torn and bitterly lanced, These delicate hands are a dangerous tool, Against the wiles and tricks of a fool,
A maiden’s hands, her femininity, The greatest treasure, vital commodity, When removed by the masses, is left a hole, And in all of humanity is lost a soul.
In forested landscape, among the beasts, I found my hands grew back in the peace, Tender, yet firm, solid and sweet, Much stronger now to handle the heat.
Still to this day, adversary will rise, Hidden in many shapes, in clever disguise, Every deception is used to foul hands in soil, Washed only by tears, the most healing of oils.
Open: ~~~~~~ Learning to wait for the right timing, Waiting for the door to open, For heaven to come down, And pour out refreshing and nourishing rain again. I hold my hands open to receive the rain when it arrives. I will not grasp for it, lest it be taken away in a snap. I just wait. While waiting, I heal, With this time being an open door unto itself.
Hope: ~~~~~ There's a ghost who visits each and every night, His presence there is perfect delight, Intentions are pure as to not give fright, A comforting friend like no other. He tickles my senses and sets me on fire, Completely blinded and never tired, This spirit's true nature brings bliss and desire, He'll visit again for he's my lover.
