To keep you informed, what kind of data Flork stores and how it is used, here is a list of the informations, the Flork-System handles:

your email

You email is used for communication between Flork and you. To keep you informed about news related to Flork or to your account. It is also stored to avoid multiple accounts by the same person. It is not given to third parties.

your profile-data

Everything you publish in your profile is public to everyone.

messages

Messages you send to other users are stored on the server until they are either manually deleted or get automatically deleted after a certain time. (Currently there is no time-limit). Messages are not shared with third parties.

standard logfiles

Like almost every webserver, the Flork-webserver writes information about every file-request to a logfile. This contains your IP-Address and other data your browser sends along with the file-request. In general this is the type of your browser and the kind of file-formats and languages it accepts/prefers. This data is mainly used for the tracking of bugs and performance issues. It is not given to third parties.

cookies

Florks login-system is based on a session-cookie which is kept on your browser as long as you are logged in. It is used to grant you access to Flork as long as you are logged in. Flork does not make use of additional cookies.
