Writer, photographer and cinematographer turned computer and digital communications media technologist. Something which yields much bad craziness. My escape from the cognitive dissonance this odd mix creates? The oceans, marine life, tropical islands and atolls. The more isolated and sparsely populated, the better. Nothing personal, mind you.

You see, most people are too involved with themselves, sunken in deeply vain "anthropocentric" views that makes them lead a life guided by self-serving lies administered by political, religious and business interests. I dissent, trying instead to lead a more realistic, "physiocentric" lifestyle. That's why I always say- "What the world really needs now is a good human predator." Yes, I said "human," as in "vermin with developed brains."

Why do I say this? Because, sadly, that's pretty much what we've become. Blame Greed and Gross Ignorance for it. They've been feeding off each other for thousands of years. The vicious circle of human folly at work, if you will. And only Nature can snap us out of it. And it will, without our consent. With extreme prejudice, too. It's really just a matter of time.

So, as a result, someday soon, we shall get what we collectively deserve. We will be evicted from this apparently not-so-dear Earth of ours by our very own hand. But, perhaps luckily, it all won't end there. In our absence, some other species will take our place high atop the food chain. And they may actually prove to be much more adept at sustaining and promoting life in this planet than we've been able- or willing to- during our most forgettable and regrettable reign. All the power to Them, whichever species it turns out to be.

All in all, we ought to be ashamed of ourselves. Not only as a people, but also as a species.

What do you think? What's your take on the current state of humanity and its place in the natural world? I'm curious to know what real people in the wide open world think about this. As opposed to what the media claims people think about this and other pressing matters alike. Feel free to speak out. I'll be happy to be your attentive audience.

BTW... I do have a "lighter side", but I reserve that for my close personal friends. And a few humans, too! ;-)
