As per Robby Robertson: Catch the Blue Train to places never been before Look for me somewhere down the crazy river (somewhere down the crazy river) Catch the blue train all the way to Kokomo You can find me somewhere down the crazy river (somewhere down the crazy river)
January 2012: Cut off all my long, ginger hair. I'm in full-on warrior mode. Fighting for my life & fighting to win. This is my truth now.
June 2011: ¡Me voy a la Habana!
March 2011: Japan, Japan. I am holding you in the Light.
Nov 1, 2010: *My* world champion SF Giants!
Feb 1, 2010: Daughter E (with the SF Girls Chorus & SF Symphony) won 3 (three!) Grammy Awards for Mahler's 8th: Best Classical, Best Choral Performance, Best Engineered record of 2009. Woo-hoo! (singers don't count #3, though)
April 2009: That's my 12 year-old, Elizabeth (bottom right), singing at the swearing-in of Barack Obama on January 20th. She's a soprano in the SF Girls Chorus ~ then they made their NYC debut April 13th at Alice Tully Hall, Lincoln Center.
June 2008: Bookish? Two fun if habit-forming websites: LibraryThing.com for cataloging your books, and BookMooch.com for swapping 'em, internationally or locally.
July 2007: Stood atop Seorak-san, 2nd highest mountain in South Korea. Even more fun was meeting longtime flork friend, duck. Among our adventures: A wild ride on winding backroads in a crazy artist's old pick-up with twelve 11 year-olds shrieking gleefully the entire way up to our pottery class at a remote mountaintop celadon studio. Later, back down again ~ to a sandy beach bordered by skyscrapers and an impromptu plunge, fully dressed, into the East Sea. More gleeful shrieking... |
