People keep asking--Vipassanapalian is a nickname someone gave me because I'm Episcopalian and I practice Vipassana meditation. Silly, I know but it was late at night and all the Grateful Dead names were taken. I like classic rock, old movies, books of all kinds and intelligent conversation. Dislike conservative politics, though I do have a few republican friends.
I'm working my way through the writings of Ken Wilbur. I really enjoyed "What the Bleep do We Know" and "The Secret." I'm reading "The Intention Experiment" but finding it a slow read because of all the science. Hey, my bachelor's degree is in Medieval Studies, because I'm a Liberal Arts kind of girl. I find quantum physics fascinating, but not necessarily easy to follow...
For fun I really enjoy competititve ballroom dancing. It is an absolute blast and terrific exercise!!

(Ok, I finally put up a picture for those of you who keep telling me you need a face to go with a name... It's off my work ID though--it was the only current photo I have. You can see that I had them edit out the second head and green skin! Now I have shorter, blonde hair, and I've lost a little weight dancing--for what it's worth.) |
