The Open Road Awaits ???

Well I think the realization of passing my driving test has finally hit home , a full four days after the event …… talk about a delayed reaction :) .
The test itself was pretty routine , but I did spend a whole 45 minutes driving around talking to myself , as I had the most uncommunicative examiner in the world - bar none, and I was wondering at one point whether he had fallen asleep , so I gave him a bit of a nudge by purposely driving through a pothole in the road ….wooops….sorry mate :)
Anyway- thanks everyone for your messages of congratulations, even the cheeky ones ……… you know EXACTLY who you are :) , and my dad actually turned up in person yesterday , to offer a “well done” , and of course he was armed with a load of car brochures - I think he must be on commission from the local car dealers :).
I’ve resisted the temptation to go and buy a car on impulse , although I did see an Aston Martin Vantage , yesterday with my own initials on the number plate !!!
………NO… NO… MUST… RESIST ………
Ha! - I havn’t got £100,000 – anyway, so that’s right out the window :)
No joking aside , on one hand - I’m seriously questioning the need for buying a car as I can still mountain bike to work , and if we move premises I’m thinking of buying an electrically powered scooter , and of course when Atsu visits next year I can simply hire a car , right that’s the rational alternative he says - removing his sensible head :)
Plan B involves putting both my Harley’s up for sale , as I can’t decide which to sell , although knowing me I’ll inadvertently end up selling both , and end up bikeless – typical :) , and then just seeing what the proceeds will buy |
