The last year i've been a farmer, living on the land in a field with Buzzards, Hares and Sparrowhawks, my nearest neighbours black sheep and starstruck pigs- The nightsky above, clear of orange citylight, is broad, liquid, immersive. Moving off again at the end of the summer to the sea, to a penisula as westerly as can be, to clinking rigging and lonesome seabirds, hard eyes full of horison. If The motion continues its the Open Sea for sure, to follow the selkies and their barnacled weedy songs. ? |
