photography is my passion, i love to delve into the creative, dig below the surface, escapism (without drugs)... family, friends, board games... passionate about life, no such thing as a simple emotion. loving, living breathing when i remember...
I really love foreign films, they are sexier, more emotional, more raw, more realistic and more artistic for the most part, some favorites are Lovers of the Arctic Circle, Cinema Paradiso, Sex & Lucia, I loved recently Zelary and Der Tweeling. Last night I watched and enjoyed boogie nights, i also recently went out to see Thumbsucker, which made me laugh out loud more often than not.
I love to read, but sometimes lack the dedication or attention span to finish what I started these days, have about 20 pages to go in "CHOKE" by Chuck Palahniuk, am reading "HOOT" to my son, though he's old enough and capable of reading it to himself I love to read aloud... other favorites include most of the novels of John Irving, Geek Love, Love Poetry, Nicole Blackman is raw and inspiring and a little too close to home to be ignored, also Diane Wakowski, Henry Rollins to a point... I like confessionalist poetry... I love emotion... voyeurism... I loved the whole beat era while growing up this is what rocked my world, took me out of the book and out into life - to experience it... to make my mistakes, to come home in the end.
Music... Dresden Dolls are probably my all time favorite at this point in my life... nothing like singing lines like "I took out the trash today and I'm on fire" passionately and at the top of ones lungs when driving down the road in small town america... I like all kinds of music, some hip-hop, some r&b, lots of blues, lounge, rock, punk, so called alternative, etc.
